Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper who thrives on adding value beyond routine financial tasks. As the premier back-office support partner for contractors nationwide, we embrace a consultative approach in all aspects of our work.
Where
This position is primarily remote, with occasional in-office training and meetings.
Your Team
You will join the Accounting Services Team, reporting to the Vice President, Controller of DMGgo.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in public or industry accounting
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other cloud-based accounting software
Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Familiarity with US GAAP and common financial metrics
Ability to analyze data critically, adapt to changing scenarios, and solve problems effectively
Experience in customer service or client-facing roles required; prior payroll experience preferred
Responsibilities
Maintain client financial records weekly, meeting established deadlines
Provide exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
Proactively communicate updates on tasks and pending items to the team
Escalate issues promptly to relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution
Collaborate closely with team members, management, and clients
Utilize technical skills to perform high-level data analytics and trend analysis of client financial data
Document best practices for client accounts and general bookkeeping processes
Track metrics relevant to client needs and prepare insightful financial reports
Develop innovative approaches to data tracking and presentation for enhanced client understanding
Offer solutions for accounting and reconciliation challenges as they arise
Investigate and provide feedback on accounting discrepancies
Participate in daily face-to-face meetings with team members and clients via video conferencing
