Board Member

Ligamina - Mission

Ligamina deals with the restoration of artworks and their enhancement through scholarship and socio-cultural sustainability projects.

Main Purpose

This is a volunteer remote role for a Board Member at Ligamina Inc. The Board Member is responsible for participating in board meetings and committee work and collaborates with other board members and the executive team to help shaping the strategic direction of the organization. The Board Member mainly performs the planning and management of a variety of partnership building activities.

Education requirements

• Master’s Degree or higher: preferably in art and/or Italian literature, managerial, marketing and communication or related fields.
• Secondary School Education or Bachelor’s Degree: in addition, a period of at least two years of relevant board or governance experience and fundraising experience is mandatory.

• Strong personal interest in social & cultural projects, in the organization's mission and goals.
• Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Professional Capabilities

• Fluency in Italian and English (Spanish and/or Portuguese would be a plus).
• Fundraising and communication skills.
• Proven experience in project management.
• Knowledge of the MS Office applications.

- Previous experience in event management is a plus.

-     Previous board or governance experience for master’s degree or higher-level education candidates is a plus.
