What's the job all about?
- Develop computational algorithms/tools for existing assays and create novel analysis pipelines for new services and products
- Design and implement novel methods for analyzing and integrating multiomic datasets
- Support the maintenance of current analysis pipelines for techniques such as ChIP-Seq, ATAC-Seq, RNA-Seq, Hi-C, DNA methylation, and single-cell (scRNA-Seq, scATAC-Seq) assays
- Conducts Bioinformatics analyses for external customers, delivering both standardized analyses and custom analytical support
- Provide bioinformatic support to our internal collaborators, developing new analytical methods and presenting findings to diverse audiences
- Stay up-to-date with best practices for high-throughput next-generation sequencing analyses and data presentation
- Collaborate effectively as a team contributor on all assignments as well as independently, while maintaining communication and collaboration with other team members
Education/Qualifications
- D with substantial post-graduate academic or industry experience in computer science, bioinformatics, data science, or computational biology or other related fields
- Deep understanding of bioinformatics algorithms and tools are required
- Strong programming skills in Python, and R etc are required
- Experience with cloud-computing and workflow management is a plus
- Knowledge of epigenetics and assays are preferred
- High attention to detail and problem solving
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Personable, efficient and a highly motivated professional with an internal drive to succeed

- Salary Range: $90-120k per year
- The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The salary range represents Active Motif's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of the posting. Certain positions may be eligible for additional compensation such as commission, bonus, and stock options. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
