As the Billing Supervisor, you will lead and manage the billing department, overseeing the timely invoicing of clients and ensuring efficient collection processes. Your role involves supervising billing personnel, managing workflow, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing client inquiries and disputes.
Responsibilities
Train and supervise employees involved in billing functions.
Provide guidance and assistance as needed.
Manage workflow and delegate tasks within the department.
Conduct regular performance evaluations for department employees.
Oversee the preparation of statements and bills for clients.
Maintain accurate client records related to invoicing and payments.
Review billing staff's work for accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
Follow up on overdue invoices and negotiate payment arrangements.
Compile and distribute weekly reports on invoicing and billing metrics.
Provide customer support to resolve disputes or inquiries regarding invoices or billing processes.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Prolaw is a plus.
Should be well versed with various e-Billing portals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Understanding of collection practices and relevant laws.
Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Proficient in record-keeping and report generation.
Keen attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of related experience.
