About the Role

The selected candidate will be part of the Revenue, Billing and Collections Team in our high-volume renewable energy multi entity environment. The Billing Accountant will prepare, distribute, and record billings and work with customers to resolve any questions.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate and submit invoices to customers in a routine and timely manner
• Enter and submit invoices and credit memos into billing system and ERP
• Respond to customers promptly and process requests
• Ensure accuracy of data feed between source generation and billing system
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy in customer master files, reflect current contact information and relevant business information
• Retrieve, organize and maintain statement and billing details received from external parties used for payment and revenue recognition
• Investigate customer variances and disputes regarding pricing and generation
• Collaborate with Accounting on status including issues or investigations pending
• Perform ad-hoc duties as requested by Revenue Manager and Director of Revenue Accounting

Knowledge and Experience Required

• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 2-4 years of related billing experience
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable. Ability to interact with employees, auditors and customers in a professional manner
• Expert in Microsoft Excel
• Experienced with accounting and billing software
• Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control best practices
