Billing Account Manager

Rethink Behavioral Health is the leading global provider of online research-based resources to support individuals with developmental disabilities. Our behavioral health platform (http://RethinkBH.com) provides clinical, staff training and practice management tools for private ABA service providers. Due to autism insurance mandates sweeping the nation, our behavioral health division is experiencing unprecedented growth. Therefore, we are looking for the right person to join our billing service team.

Our Billing Services Division specializes in Revenue Recycle Management and Enrollment and Credentialing services. We are growing and are looking for new team members that will offer our clients best in class billing services. The Billing Account Manager is responsible for overseeing customer accounts working with customers and insurance companies to ensure accurate billing for therapy sessions that will result in successful claim generation and reimbursement.

Location: Remote opportunities are available only in the following states: CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MO, NE, NC, PA & TX

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict HIPPAA-compliant confidentiality with all client-related data
• Review & interpret payor contracts for customers
• Manage full RCM for assigned client accounts
• Evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow-up on customer concerns
• Review customer account reports and follow up to ensure any flags/concerns are notated pro-actively
• Facilitate regular customer meetings
• Research specific payor billing rules as needed and update/maintain internal payor database
• Review client billing documentation to ensure claims are submitted based on payor requirements
• Create claims and patient statements
• Submit claims electronically for primary and secondary payors
• Collecting for services using billing software
• Follow up on rejections, denials, and any outstanding claims
• Submit corrected claims as needed
• Post payments and maintain A/R
• File appeals to insurance and to insurance commissioner as needed
• Stay informed about Payor and Industry Billing rules
• Assist Billing Manager to train, direct, develop and evaluate new staff
• Develop and perform quality assurance audits to ensure timelines for billing are being met
• Measure and monitor key metrics related to work performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 2-3 years of experience in billing for ABA, speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy
• 1-2 years of account management experience
• Experience working directly with both major commercial insurance companies as well as state Medicaid programs
• This role also requires EXCEPTIONAL attention to detail, critical thinking, and excellent communication with clients and insurance companies
• Experience using Kareo Billing software
  
  

Other Preferred Experience and Skills:

• CPB or other professional billing designation is strongly preferred
• Proficient using and fluent in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
