As a Bilingual Crisis Counselor for EAC Network's Project HOPE program, you will provide crisis counseling services to individuals, families, and groups. This includes offering emotional support, conducting assessments, delivering individual and group counseling, and making referrals when needed. The main goal of the Project HOPE Crisis Counseling Program (CCP) is to help Covid-19 victims understand and manage their emotional responses, develop coping skills, and connect with additional community resources.
Key Duties
Offer crisis intervention, emotional support, and counseling to those in distress
Conduct assessments following established procedures
Manage client interactions to provide necessary support efficiently
Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions
Schedule virtual appointments and engage in community outreach
Provide professional assessment, consultation, and referrals
Attend case conferences, team meetings, and virtual support sessions
Organize and maintain client files consistently
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services/Health Discipline/Social Work/Psychology preferred
High School diploma required
Minimum of two years of relevant work experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Access to transportation and valid NYS ID
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in computer applications and software
