Job Purpose:

Provides Health & Welfare Benefit support across the enterprise. Responsible for benefits administration, process improvement, HRIS elements, reporting & tracking, corporate wellness, compliance, and aligns Total Rewards objectives with the company strategic objectives.

THIS IS A 100% REMOTE POSITION. May be required to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Performs the evaluation, analysis, and selection of employee Health & Welfare Benefit Programs and is the liaison between employee benefit providers and the associates. Supports marketing tactics for communicating benefit programs to associates through a variety of channels including SharePoint.
  • Recommend changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Establishes strong partnerships with all benefit vendors and leads all benefits administration processes while maintaining accurate SOP documents.
  • Lead the annual Open Enrollment process; including UKG configuration, corporate training, creation of materials and assist individuals with enrollment.
  • Manage Leave Administration with third party vendor.
  • Responsible for all 401k administration, NDT, True Up, SAR and partnering with Payroll for the Audit.
  • Leads all compliance related processes for Benefits, including ACA/1095C, PCORI, 5500’s, SAR, Medicare Part D, SBC distribution, FSA NDT, and others as required.
  • Administer the UKG workflow, process, plan rules, and proper deductions for life events and benefit changes.
  • Review daily HRIS benefit requests for accuracy. Contact employees as needed regarding their elected plans to resolve discrepancies.
  • Process Medical Support Orders, Medicare requests, and other agency inquiries.
  • Manage employee dependent verification policy, in efforts to comply with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
  • Measure Improvement – Monthly metrics, End of the Year Participation & Risk Summary Report
  • Provide subject matter expertise to employees and managers in the areas of benefits, wellness, and compliance.
  • Respond to daily inquiries in an orderly and timely fashion and provide resources and next steps, as needed.
  • Benefit reporting & billing census reconciliation. Compile reports and send them to AP for processing.
  • Provide standardized reports as needed.
  • Completes projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling requests.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs including 401k.
  • In-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPPA, and related leave practices and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. Knowledgeable in employment procedures, relevant laws, explaining human resource policies and benefits.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
  • Capability of effective planning and priority setting.
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet changing deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, MS office suite.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Benefit Administration experience
  • Minimum 2 years HRIS experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Powerpoint)
  • Experience with UKG is a plus
  • Experience with BI reporting tool is a plus
  • CEB or SHRM designation (or current candidate) is a plus


Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment. Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
