Job Title: Benefits Manager


Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Benefits Manager to join our HR team. The Benefits Manager will be responsible for overseeing and administering our employee benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant with regulations, and effectively communicated to employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits administration, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to enhancing employee satisfaction and well-being.


Key Responsibilities:


Plan Administration:

  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.
  • Regularly review and update benefits plans to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company goals.


Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate and select benefits vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with third-party providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.


Employee Support and Communication:

  • Develop and deliver clear, concise communication materials to employees about benefits programs and changes.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and open enrollment sessions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees with benefits-related questions or issues.


Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze benefits data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on benefits utilization, costs, and employee satisfaction.
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve benefits programs.


Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Develop and maintain benefits policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all benefits programs are administered in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in benefits management.


Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the HR team and other departments to integrate benefits with overall HR strategy and company objectives.
  • Train and support HR staff on benefits-related matters.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR field.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local benefits regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration software.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification is a plus.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing benefits in a multi-state or international environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with wellness programs and initiatives.
