Benefits Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our benefits team. In addition to interfacing with benefits providers and employees, responsibilities include leveraging systems and data analysis to recommend process improvements for day-to-day operations, processing benefit invoices, and resolving employee inquires.


Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for employees and/or vendors to research and resolve employee issues.
  • Provides guidance and counsel to employees, HRIS representatives and managers on the requirements and provisions of benefit programs and assists with the resolution of potential employee issues.
  • Reconcile and complete benefits invoices for all lines of coverage.
  • Conducts new hire benefits orientations on a weekly basis.
  • Reviews and audits Oracle HCM reports, including payroll and HSA Account contribution funding.
  • Day-to-day responsibility to ensure accuracy of all benefits functions, including eligibility, enrollment, reporting, terminations, 401k and daily life event processing/clean up.
  • Oversees the administration of COBRA and works with vendor to resolve potential issues.
  • Collaborates with the Leave Administrator to administer and monitor all employee FMLA, workers’ compensation, and other comparable leaves or absences, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and Company policies.
  • Provides operational support to the HR Business Partners.
  • Assists with the annual open enrollment process.
  • Monitors plan eligibility and other restrictions to ensure compliance with plan provisions and government requirements.
  • Responsible for other special projects and work-related duties as assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in benefits administration
  • General knowledge of federal and state laws relating to benefit plans including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite, including high proficiency in Excel
  • Expertise with online benefits enrollment administration required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Oracle based products or other HRIS/online benefit enrollment system
