Apis Services Inc. is currently hiring for a Leave Administrator

The Leave Administrator will function with autonomy, diplomacy and professionalism within the guidelines established by this organization. Promote the well-being of the human aspect of this organization and report any concerns to the Director of Benefits & Wellness. Administer the principles of short- and long-range planning to anticipate and avoid issues. Promote the organization and display an image of high professional esteem. Utilize the support staff to the best interests of this organization. Act as a liaison, Team Leader and link communication between the Director of Benefits & Wellness and all employees. Function with the highest esteem in dealing with all employees, clients and consumers of this organization. Be an advocate for all the policies, protocol, labor grades etc. of the organization. Foster a humane atmosphere within the Human Resource Department – LOA Management/Benefits as well as the entire organization.

LOA & BENEFIT TRAINING AND TRACKING

  • New employee leave inquiries
  • Meet with employees to discuss benefit and loa options
  • Assist with employee benefit and loa questions
  • Provide FMLA documents; track approval / time used
  • Monitor employee deduction report; invoice and review with employees
  • Update addresses, enrollments, and terminations for employees in all active benefit programs
  • Prepare, review and forward benefit billing to Fiscal Department
  • Assist with benefit paperwork completion and open enrollments, as needed
  • Utilize the Sedgwick system for new leave requests, extensions and responding to inquiries regarding a leave of ab-sence.
  • Communicate with colleagues, leaders, and other key stakeholders to assist with questions on leave administration.
  • Educate and promote the use of self-service tools and technology to help drive self-service utilization
  • Respond to leave of absence calls while adhering to service levels such as first call resolution, case management and timely communications.
  • Tracking of employee leave hours
  • Follow-up on Worker’s Compensation Processing and Claims

PAYROLL ISSUES

  • Research and coordinate with the Manager of Payroll regarding issues with employees bi-weekly paycheck
  • Provide payroll team with weekly PTO report

EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATIONS

  • Complete all requests for verifications as assigned

COMPUTER ENTRY AND REPORTING

  • ADP /HRIS & Health & Welfare/Leave Vendor software and programs
  • Assist employee’s enrollment using the online software programs
  • Assist employee’s with opening leave case with third-party vendor

ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATIONS

  • Special Projects
  • Attends team meetings
  • Coordinates weekly Leave calls with affiliate leaders

Minimum Educational Qualifications Requirements

  • High School Diploma

Preferred Educational Qualifications Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Experience Qualification Requirements

  • Three (3) to seven (7) years’ experience in Absence Management
  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA and STD policies at local, state and federal levels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent writing, documentation, and personnel record keeping skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Excellent relationship building: Must maintain relationships with third-party vendors and stakeholders involved.
