Position Summary

The ideal candidate will be a key participant in the design, planning, implementation, and management of benefits for the company’s employees. The role will manage and assess competitive benefits and rewards programs that strengthen the organization’s ability to attract and retain employees and deliver desired results to the organization. Through collaboration with vendors, benefit brokers, and the Total Rewards team, this person will help drive employee retention and attraction with competitive plan offerings.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee administration and support of all benefit programs, including renewals and open enrollment in collaboration with Director of Total Rewards, Benefit Team, and vendors.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and report on utilization of all benefit programs, identifying actual or potential problems, activity trends, and implementing change as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Benefit Team members to design and develop new benefits or programs in response to organizational, employee and competitive marketplaces.
  • Coordinate benefit paperwork for new hires, terminating employees (COBRA), and life change events to ensure timely and accurate processing of information according to company policy.
  • Manage benefit billing and cost reconciliation for invoices from vendors, utilizing broker relationships as needed for support.
  • Provide opportunities for employees to utilize the company’s wellness plan, programs, and activities while ensuring programming is inclusive and supportive of all employees.
  • Maintain a high level of professional communication and relationships with dedicated outside counsel, vendors, and employees.
  • Act as a liaison between employees, vendors, and the company to address and resolve inquiries and problems related to the benefit administration and Total Rewards functions.
  • Support members of the benefit team through training, mentorship, and positive leadership.
  • Provide strategic vision for updated benefits and system processes to management.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years prior experience in human resources, specifically in benefits and total rewards
  • Experience with benefit administration, and advanced knowledge in applicable regulatory, legal requirements and reporting, including ACA, COBRA, EEO, ERISA, HIPAA, FLSA, FMLA, & GINA Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Must be able to manage a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven capabilities as a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, with an ability to independently prioritize workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, vendors, employees, and executives.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.
  • Reliable transportation

Licenses & Certifications

  • HR Professional Certifications preferred (CCP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP OR SHRM-SCP)
  • Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%

Estimated Wage Range: Available upon request.
