Responsible for daily supervision of clients enrolled in the School Based Day Treatment Program. This position also supports the supervisor and therapist in planning and leading group activities and maintaining a safe, supportive and learning environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serving as a Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS), the Behavioral Specialist is responsible for daily supervision of children and adolescents enrolled in a school-based day treatment program. This position also supports the supervisor and therapist in planning and leading group activities and maintaining a safe, supportive and learning environment.
$500.00 sign-on bonus and benefits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Education & Experience
Documented paid work experience with SED children and adolescents is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not necessary. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) is highly desirable. The Ideal candidate has skills gained through working in a residential or day treatment setting working with children and/or adolescents. Other skills may include: implementing behavior management techniques, working with youth in developing life skills, coping skills, and managing mental health diagnoses.

- Responsible for implementing the daily schedule in the Day Treatment program day.
- Plan and lead Day Treatment groups.
- Supervise clients at all times.
- Work one-on-one with clients, as necessary.
- Learn and effectively utilize the Day Treatment program model.
- Learn and effectively utilize de-escalation and restraint techniques.
- Collaborate with school personnel.
- Attend all necessary Camelot trainings.
- Accurately complete clinical documentation on a daily basis.
- Attend staff meetings as required.

- Learn and effectively utilize Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) de-escalation and restraint techniques.
- Collaborate with school personnel.
- Attend all necessary Camelot training.
- Accurately complete clinical documentation on a daily basis.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
