Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in education or psychology preferred
- Autism background and ABA experience preferred
- Vaild PA Driver's License; Must meet CCIU procedures for transporting students (including motor vehicle record check; please see attached document for more information)
- CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire
- Registered Behavior Technician credential required within 1 year of hire
- Current police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances required
- Clearance as an MA provider by Pennsylvania and the federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
- Responsible for implementing and directing a behavioral model for the students at the CHAAMP program, a secondary transition program for students with moderate to severe autism.
- Use principles of applied behavior analysis to extinguish negative behaviors and promote positive replacement behaviors as developed in a student’s IEP.
- Maintain continuous data to document frequency of targeted student behaviors and goals.
- Transport and accompany students in the community to develop and reinforce social, recreational, and vocational skills per IEP goals.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and management strategies for student-student or student-staff conflicts.
- Support, Band 12; $25.77 - 32.22 Hourly ($43,496 - $54,371 annually)
- Placement on salary scale based upon years of experience in a similar position
