Wayland, MA The Wayland Recreation Department seeks a Beach Director/Aquatic/Waterfront Director to manage all operations of our gorgeous Wayland Town Beach on the shores of Lake Cochituate. Features a very flexible schedule and fun work environment. Schedule will outline the specific dates and hours director is expected to work which may include days, evenings, weekends and holidays between May 20 and August 20. Shifts are scheduled between 9:30 am and 8:00 pm and up to 45 hours per week. Beach Director reports to Recreation Director, and is responsible for ensuring the safety of Town Beach patrons by leading a team of lifeguards and beach staff. Beach Director oversees a staff of 20 including supervisors, lifeguards, swim instructors, snack bar staff and gate staff. Other routine to complex administrative, supervisory, support, clerical and record keeping work relating to the successful daily operation of the Wayland Town Beach. Current Lifeguard Certification Preferred, or can provide in June.
