We are looking for a Barista Market Developer Lead to join our team.

Qualified candidates must reside in New York, NY due to business needs.

Here are the things we want to hire you to do:

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • To create, lead, and execute the development strategy for Oatly Barista Edition within the NYC Scene
    • To identify and nurture genuine strong relationships that lead to mutually beneficial outcomes for Oatly and the top-tier independent coffee shops
    • Instantly win over all levels from baristas to owners through your unique personality, outstanding knowledge, and strong credibility
    • Contribute to the building of a strong local coffee community through spending time in coffee shops with baristas, managers and owners, as well as people in key adjacent businesses like coffee roasters and machine suppliers
    • Encourage and further the understanding of how sustainability impacts the coffee industry
  • Events:
    • Develop and execute localized events; Either Oatly lead or in partnership with café or local business
    • Attend coffee and natural foods-related industry events in your market
    • Assist with the execution of larger activations across the USA and be flawless in representing the brand (by being yourself)
  • Reporting:
    • Regularly updating CRM, Key Account news, and any other electronic organizational software
    • Goal setting and tracking of your success during bi-annual and annual reviews
  • Communication:
    • Respond to customer inquiries, both phone and email, in a timely manner
    • Share ideas and problem-solve with your Coffee Channel Manager/Director with the goal of working together to get the job done well
    • Report back to the Coffee Channel Manager regularly with any regional news
    • Manage your local budget drive the Oatly mission through the coffee industry, from events to café promos and beyond
    • Deliver regular reporting of your budget to the Coffee Channel Director
    • Represent the brand with integrity in all interactions - commitment to our company values, positive energy, and deep product knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in practical experience
  • People management experience preferred

  • You are excited about executing your ideas at a world-class level

The salary for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. Compensation may also include bonus, commission, or equity as applicable. Our good faith estimate range is $90,000 - $105,000.
