Now Hiring a BAR MANAGER for PJ Whelihan's Restaurant Group in PA!

We're looking for someone who knows all things liquor, beer and wine! The right person for this role will be cool, calm and collected and ready to work in a fast paced HIGH ENERGY environment! This position could be with one of our two concepts: PJ Whelihan's OR The Pour House!

Summary of Position:

Support the GM in the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve bar and liquor objectives in sales, costs, employee hiring & retention, food & beverage quality, cleanliness and sanitation.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Achieve company objectives in sales, food quality, food presentation, bar safety, sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
• Ensure that all food, liquor and drinks are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, presentation and serving standards.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to alcohol consumption, health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback and coaching to employees regarding their performance. Ensure both positive and negative performance is documented and communicated accordingly.
• Schedule bar tenders and service staff as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
• Partner with the GM in making employment and termination decisions for bar & service staff.
• Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
• Ensure that all equipment and vessels are kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the PJWRG receiving policies and procedures.
