Back of House (BOH) Team Members Food Prep/Juicing

BOH members are an incredibly important part of the Toastique team. As an integral member of the team, you will be principally responsible for prepping food items and juicing, and assisting elsewhere in the cafe as needed. As fresh made juice is a hugely important part of our business, one of your most important responsibilities will be to ensure juices are properly made and that all juices are always available for sale. In addition, you will make sure all prepared items are ready for each shift (prepping and refilling), and help ensure the cafe is always clean. This is a full-time on-site role for Team Members staring in mid June 2024 at Toastique in Austin, TX. Part-time availability will be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepping food for use in the FOH and juicing daily according to the juice prep list
• Bottling and labeling juice for sale in our merchandiser
• Putting away deliveries using FIFO (First-IN, First-OUT)
• Staying organized and prioritizing tasks
• Communicating effectively with manager(s) and/or shift leads when inventory is running low, so items do not go out of stock
• Assisting with any/all station prep in FOH when needed/as requested
• FOH duties including:
• restocking customer items e.g. utensils, napkins, and cups
• continuously checking that back up food items are present in FOH so team members can serve guests without interruption
• refilling water in the customer complimentary water station
• assisting on food prep stations in FOH as requested
• BOH duties including:
• Juicing all of our fresh cold pressed juice daily to ensure that all flavors are available at all time
• Bottling and labeling juice for sale in our merchandiser
• Checking juice service containers in FOH and refilling as necessary throughout the day
• Accepting and putting away deliveries using FIFO
• Preparation of all our recipes/food items to ensure availablity of all items at all times
• Restocking of food items in FOH as needed
• Acting as back up to our dishwashing team members as needed
  
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior restaurant experience is preferred
• Experience specifically with preparation of food recipes a plus
• Ability to effectivly manage time and prioritize tasks
• Energetic and positive attitude
