The Excalibur Group is currently seeking AV Technician in Dulles, VA to support a local contract.REQUIREMENTS:HOURS OF OPERATION
Must be a U.S. Citizen, possess good-excellent credit and will be subject to a background/credit screen prior to employment. SUMMARY: As an AV Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and support of audiovisual systems. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure seamless operation and high-quality performance of AV equipment. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, production experience, and excellent customer service. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, configure, test, and provide technical support to audiovisual equipment to include projectors, laptops, desktops, sound systems, video conferencing systems, content management systems and digital displays
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure optimal performance
Provide technical support to clients and end-users, resolving AV and basic PC/MAC related issues promptly and efficiently
Collaborate with project managers, Vendors, and other team members to plan and execute AV events, meetings, installations, and upgrades
Perform site surveys to assess AV needs and recommend appropriate solutions
Document all installations, configurations, and maintenance activities
Stay up to date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends
Train clients and end-users in the operation and maintenance of AV equipment
Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in all AV-related activities
Other organizational technology project duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in audiovisual technology preferred
Proven experience with at least 1 year as an AV Technician or in a similar role
Advanced knowledge of current enterprise conferencing software (e.g., Teams, Zoom, Webex)
Experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, Shure)
Strong knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, current video conferencing systems, and displays
Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV systems
Knowledge of networking and IP-based AV systems
Proficiency in basic Ethernet cable installation and repair
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and at various client sites in the DMV area as needed
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks associated with AV installations
Must have flexible schedule, hours may vary (M-Fri with some weekends)
Overtime is expected and shift changes
Travel Required
