AV Designer

Pershing is looking for a talented and hardworking audiovisual design engineer and consultant to join our team! We work on a wide variety of AV/IT projects for government, corporate, medical, higher education, and financial customers around the world. Our projects include the design of conference and collaboration spaces, video and audio production environments, command and control centers, studios, restaurants and entertainment venues, and probably some unusual spaces and systems neither you nor we have thought up yet.

We are looking for someone with some experience with audiovisual systems design or integration, but are also open to someone with experience in a related field of background such as music and audio, lighting and video, or architecture and engineering. We’re looking for someone passionate about the way that technology facilitates and enhances experiences in physical spaces.

Pershing is a fully virtual company with no physical office location. This position is a work-from-home position, however we are looking for someone in the northeast, located between Washington D.C. and Philadelphia.

As an AV designer, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating on AV consulting and design efforts
• Coordinating designs with architects, interior designers, and MEP engineers
• Developing design and engineering packages in AutoCAD & Revit
• Participating in QA/QC process
• Researching new technologies and products
• Collaborating with team on process, tools, and approach

• 3-5 years of experience in AV design, and/or education in a related field
• Experience with and proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam or similar
• Bachelor's Degree (in anything really - we have quite the assortment here)
• Independently motivated and able to work under deadline
• Strong attention to detail

• Master's Degree or higher
• Government Security Clearance (eligible)
• AVIXA CTS 
• Experience configuring and commissioning AV and IT systems
