Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience), plus benefits

As we continue to provide best-in-class service to one of our top-tier customers, we have created a new role, working as a Break-fix Technician, to provide Audio Visual and Video Conferencing technical support across all of our client’s meeting rooms and event spaces.

In addition, they will identify and resolve technical faults across their wide array of video conferencing and audio-visual equipment, configure devices, assist in office relocations and provide remote support to users at other office locations.

The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and managing directors of the Bank to provide the services listed above.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, wireless microphone battery levels etc.
  • Be the primary contact for event coordination and the main point of contact for supporting their global production events
  • Own the event experiences for the meeting host and attendees and manage all high profile events
  • Respond to notifications of AV technical issues directly and undertake diagnosis of problems
  • Tests room AV functions completely with all sources and capabilities
  • Maintain documentation on Inventory, problem ticket resolutions, Conference Room Information, and QC and PM performance checks
  • Provide video/audio conference set-up and support
  • Undertake site certification of all new and relocated video conference systems
  • Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems; investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify
  • Ensure all multi-media/presentation rooms are maintained in good working order
  • Provide presentation/multi-media meeting room support
  • Assist with support for multi-media broadcasting
  • Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure
  • Provide proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly


Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of Cisco videoconferencing systems and Signal flow in video, audio, and control wiring
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Teams / Microsoft Teams Rooms and Surface Hubs preferred
  • Background in operation and troubleshooting of AV control systems (e.g., Crestron)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with AV gear and AV components
  • Ability to read as-built drawings and apply the understanding to diagnose reported problems
  • Ability to recognize and describe audio and/or video signal degradation
  • Good communication skills with vendors, co-workers, and managers
  • Ability to improvise workarounds for AV setups to meet the requirements
  • Some installation skills preferred but not required
