Job Description

Proactive Dealer Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Performance Coach to join our team. As an Automotive Performance Coach, you will be responsible for providing coaching and training services to automotive dealerships within the designated territory. You will work closely with dealership personnel to enhance their performance, improve customer satisfaction, and drive overall profitability.

Location: Maryland (with territory coverage in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland, DC, New Jersey)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth assessments of dealership operations, including sales, service, and parts departments.
  • Analyze dealership performance data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop customized coaching plans based on dealership needs and goals.
  • Provide on-site coaching and training to dealership personnel, including sales managers, service advisors, and technicians.
  • Assist with implementing best practices and processes to optimize dealership operations.
  • Train dealership staff on effective sales techniques, customer service skills, and product knowledge.
  • Monitor dealership performance and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with dealership management to develop action plans for achieving performance targets.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and new automotive technologies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Performance Coach or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of dealership operations, including sales, service, and parts departments.
  • Strong understanding of automotive sales processes and customer satisfaction strategies.
  • Excellent coaching and training abilities, with a track record of driving performance improvement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with dealership personnel.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Flexibility to travel within the assigned territory (Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland).
  • Residency within the state of Maryland.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or formal training in automotive performance coaching or related fields.
  • Experience working with multiple dealership brands and models.
  • Familiarity with dealership management software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies for automotive dealerships.

Additional Information Compensation

  • A PC is eligible for an average annual compensation range of $120-$140k subject to meeting the conditions set forth in PDS’s PC Compensation Plan.
