Inviting applications for the role of Automation Test Lead

Location: Austin TX (onsite)

Skills:

• Should be a leader and must lead the entire QA team in client’s portfolio (approx. team size of 20-25 QA folks that includes multiple vendors and client QA resources)
• Should have vision and should be an independent decision maker.
• Ability to create QA roadmap for the portfolio.
• Communication – effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Should be able to communicate to CXO level.
• Code and Lead – be able to code and lead both.
• Web Application QA experience – must.

Responsibilities

• Create Road map with consideration of client goals and objectives and provide test plan.
• Collaborate with product teams to strategize & align long term solution for test automation including roadmap, tools, framework & approach, take complete ownership for preparing test automation solution.
• Good leading skills. Motivate team to work on common goal.
• Ensure that the resources are adequately trained, evaluated, and allocated in projects.
• Assign tasks to team, monitor, review and help in case needed to meet the deadlines.
• Evaluate and recommends new tools, techniques and methodologies needed to enhance productivity and quality.
• Create a standard framework for Functional Automation, API testing, Performance Testing and cloud-based Automation Testing.
• Ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place and kept up to date.
• Develop automation strategy to support regression testing based on the technical analysis, complexity and reusability.
• Responds appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures11. Presents technical documentation for review by peers and Development community and get sign off.
• Analyse the scope for automation.
• Managing the project from providing the effort estimation till the successful signoff of the project
• Code review will be done and sent the review comments if any modifications required.
• Getting the sing off from the end customer by providing the demo on the individual modules
• Develop testing programs, Execution of test scripts, Documenting & Report defects to software developers.
• If any defects found during Regression, will get in touch with the business team and take the clarifications from them.
• Responsible for Kick off to Closure for all the deliverables.
• Part of Retro meetings to review the release activities What went well, what can be improved, what didn’t go well. Based up on the reviews prepare action items.
