About the Opportunity:

The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for determining optimal approach to automated testing of complex products or solutions to assure compliance with applicable specifications. This includes identifying and recommending product or solution characteristics that optimize their ability to be tested or to provide test data for diagnostic purposes. Combines customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and manage test plans and automated test scripts within each delivery iteration.
  • Ensure adherence to project team’s testing standards and procedures while contributing to continuously minimize testing defects and improve process efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Design and develop complete automated test coverage of the application.
  • Perform application testing using existing testing tools and manual testing while adhering to sprint and release deadlines and milestones.
  • Contribute to software development by testing and validating specifications are met in an Agile environment.
  • Review and analyze complex programming specifications to properly and effectively test each application requirement.
  • Conduct thorough defect analysis, document findings, and steps to reproduce.
  • Effectively communicate testing results to business and project team stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience testing or developing software applications, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • 2+ years consulting experience
  • Experience designing and executing test scripts, test plans, and procedures and documenting the expected and actual results
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium or TestNG
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • Pega experience is a big plus
