Position Summary:
AutoCAD Designer/Drafter. This person utilizes a multitude of technologic tools and skillsets in the creation of client submittals and production documentation. The range, complexity and diversity of projects demands special attention to details, working in collaboration with team members and consultants.
Qualifications:
Three to Five years minimum of AutoCAD experience on a variety of projects.
Proficient AutoCAD 2016 to current.
Diverse project knowledge, preferably inclusive of architectural detailing, fa ade fabrication and intimate knowledge of general construction practices.
Organizational skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and track deadlines.
Ability to work and collaborate with the design team.
Ability to provide feedback on design ideas and able to communicate with various departments.
QC of drawings, developing audit standards, and maintaining team technical training.
Computer Literacy - MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD
Rendering/Graphic skills, a plus.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities and attributes:
Produce and review construction drawings for multiple projects, weekly, as assigned by the project manager.
Support our market competitiveness by keeping the turnaround time for AutoCAD drafting at optimum levels (3-6 days based on project complexity)
The candidate will also support us in creating production documentation which includes data management from the drawings that were created.
Attention to detail to create error-free documents.
Practice good revision control of documentation.
Training will be provided on the key design criteria for the Vetrotech product range.
The design criteria needs to be diligently applied, along with special instructions, for the assigned projects.
Keep accurate records of important communications and developments for assigned project and prepare summaries of completed designs and project status information.
Tracking data to be updated on the 'Smart Sheets' platform, for which basic training will be provided
Promptly make all quality control corrections required upon return of previously performed work.
Highly motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects.
Work closely with the project teams and project manager through the project delivery process.
Work Schedule:
This position has a work week that is 40 hours, Monday through Friday. This is an overtime eligible position that is subject to the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Work outside normal business hours may be required occasionally.
