Job Description:

Pay Range $30hr - $33hr

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and directly perform field work, as needed] utilization studies, space needs analyses, programming, and feasibility studies throughout CUNY.
  • Involves physical, in-person work and the ability to travel.
  • Participate in the creation of detailed project timelines, schedules, staff assignment lists.
  • Organize data and coordinate other team members’ work.
  • Participate and in the management of a team (approximately 4-10 staff), coordinating their schedules, deliverables, reports, etc.
  • Act as a “field manager”, balancing the management of staff, coordination with campus users, direct participation in field work.
  • Ability to report on work, recommend procedural, scheduling, staff changes to meet deadlines.
  • Managing and updating the space inventory system, working with facilities life cycle assessment for all CUNY.
  • Architectural, Interior Design, Planning, Business or related education, experience, or background.
Familiarity With:
  • Project Management and scheduling Software (ex: Microsoft Project).
  • AutoCAD.
  • Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams.
  • Adobe Suite (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Ability to work under existing, as well as create new, project schedules and plans.
  • Ability to manage a project and a team, working to achieve project goals independently with that team.
  • Ability to shift between working independently and setting internal goals, to working closely with a small team.
Experience:
  • 2 years Project Management/Coordination experience, ideally with large institutions.
  • Experience working in and managing a diverse team environment.
Qualifications:
  • Certification from a recognized Planning Organization.
  • Planning experience in a publicly funded organization.
