Audio Visual Technician
Location: On-site, D.C.
Summary:
The ideal technician will provide broadcast-quality services including audio only, video, live event production, real time live streaming, teleconferencing, recording, reproducing and teleprompting. This individual should be comfortable supporting broadcast studios and conference centers. Events include but are not limited to major national events, ceremonies, international conferences, meetings, social affairs, or training events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the set-up and operations of live event broadcast, production, editing and AV equipment.
- Move and set-up broadcast lighting, cameras, microphones, and speakers for programs and events.
- Graphics animations and screen management operations.
- Work with audio video editing suites, to include image stabilization, video enhancement, and format conversion capabilities.
- Move, organize, clean, and store equipment.
- Broadcast audio mixing and sound reinforcement. Set up and control of live switching multiple video source for broadcast. Virtual telecommunications operations.
- Assist with the cataloging and asset management of operations artifacts.
- Work with a multi-discipline team to complete team tasks.
- Provide technical support to voice, video, and data engineering staff to facilitate the integration of new systems and upgrade/modernization of existing systems into the client’s infrastructure.
- Assists in the enhancement of multimedia files and still images for further analysis.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information level (TS/SCI).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to comprehend and utilize audio, visual, and power related mathematics.
- Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment and concepts
- Generally proficient with common office productivity applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Able to work independently and as a team member.
- Must have professional demeanor, patience, flexibility, and strong customer-service skills.
- Support shift work operations, with 8-hour shifts between 7am and 6pm and weekends as needed (may be required to be on-call at times, with a one-hour response time.
