Audio Visual Specialist

Position Summary

Provide audio-visual and computer customer support for YU classes and events during any University operating hours. This may include the set up and running of audio-visual equipment for classes, meetings or other events at Wilf or Beren campuses as needed Sunday or weeknight evenings. Schedule will vary depending on event needs.

Position Responsibilities

  • Set up and support audio-visual and supporting equipment as required on campus.
  • Respond to priority one emergency calls or class in progress issues.
  • Manage all aspects of multimedia/audio-visual equipment.
  • Work with event coordinators to manage and run audio-visual to meet the event’s needs and troubleshoot as required.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external users for both audio-visual and computer support.
  • Recommend necessary additions to audio-visual set up to best serve customer needs.
  • Other job duties as needed.

Experience & Educational Background

  • Minimum of 2 years of audio-visual experience for live events.
  • Working knowledge of computer technology, needed for user support.
  • Experience with Extron or Crestron equipment preferred.
  • Experience with PC Imaging and management. (SCCM or InTune preferred)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work with users along the spectrum of audio-visual experience.
  • Understanding of audio-visual equipment for both in person and hybrid [Zoom or Teams] events.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to work autonomously during “off hours”. [evenings and weekends]
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Office 365 products and Microsoft Applications troubleshooting/support experience.
  • Providing online remote support and/or over the phone.

Salary Range

$70,000-80,000
