Associate Vice President

Role Description

  • Function as Subject Matter Expert in the Industrial Heavy Machinery Domain
  • Support bid response and management across bid lifecycle with a creative mindset towards the articulation of enterprise applications capabilities (for the manufacturing industry) via technical presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Responsible for business development of at least 20% annual increase
  • Support bid response (from RFI, RFP, RFQ, Proposal creation, providing leadership to generating business financials, coordinating necessary ELT approvals, Bid defense, follow-up, and closure with PO).
  • Complete management of the Bid beyond what is called out here would also be part of the scope as needed.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for dealer penetration, including identifying new dealer opportunities and nurturing existing relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and working closely with them to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Hire and build competency to support the development and deployment of solutions to the customers.
  • Onboard new dealers, providing consulting and support as needed, and ensuring a smooth integration into the company's systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and product development, to identify opportunities for growth and improve the overall customer experience.
  • Measure and report on the performance of the dealer penetration strategy and making data-driven decisions to optimize results.
  • Create customized campaigns that are relevant and appealing to each target OEM/Departments/Teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Practice, Delivery, CoEs, sales, and marketing teams, to create and refine new solutions and offerings.
  • Communicating the value of new solutions and offerings to customers and building relationships with key stakeholders to drive sales and increase customer loyalty.
  • Continuously evaluating industry trends and making data-driven decisions to optimize performance and achieve business goals.
  • Other duties as assigned within area of responsibility.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or in a related engineering field Followed by five (5) years of progressively responsible technical engineering experience in the Industrial Heavy Machinery field (any related position, e.g. Vice President, Business Development; Engineering Director; Engineering Manager).

  • 5 years of experience in engineering leadership in Industrial Heavy Machinery/Equipment (IHM).
  • 5 years of experience in working with IHM Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Captives or Engineering Services.
  • 5 years of experience in Account Management.
  • 5 Years of Competency and team building experience.
  • 3 years of Strategic Planning and execution of programs.
  • 3 years of New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
  • 2 years of Business Development experience accountable for business and customer engagement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
    • Product design and Development
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Manufacturing Execution Systems
    • Digital Technologies
    • Business System Transformation
    • Solutions development and deployment
LOCATION: 6001 Cass Avenue, Suite 600, Detroit, MI – 48202.

Up to 20% travel within North America; Position 100% remote; may be performed from anywhere within the U.S.
