Position Overview: We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Veterinarian to join our team at Compassion Veterinary Center. This position is open to new graduates who are eager to embark on their veterinary career with mentorship and support from our experienced veterinarians. At our clinic, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of small animals and make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care to small animal patients, including dogs and cats
Perform physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and medical treatments as needed
Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs
Perform surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, and dental surgeries
Communicate effectively with clients to educate them about their pet's health, discuss treatment options, and address any questions or concerns
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and client satisfaction
Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
New York Veterinary License or eligibility to obtain licensure in New York
Strong passion for veterinary medicine and dedication to providing high-quality care to animals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Willingness to learn and grow professionally under the guidance of experienced veterinarians
