Associate - Restructuring and Turnaround

My client is paying a substantial base with an extremely generous bonus plan from 30% to 50% of salary.

The position is in New York City. To provide the greatest opportunity for training, mentoring, and personal growth, the successful candidate should expect to work from their offices. Currently on a hybrid model of 3-days in office (T-Th).

Must reside in or around NYC or be willing to relocate on your own to be considered.

The Associate role is an experienced level position. Strong analytical, 3-statement financial and cash flow modeling, data management, writing, and communication skills are required. Successful Associates will demonstrate the ability to be a team leader, manage discrete projects and create and grow a network of clients and professionals. Long hours during the week and on weekends, due to client engagements may be required.

Associate Level Requirements, Responsibilities, And Duties

• Minimum 2 - 4 years of relevant POST GRAD experience in corporate restructuring, investment or commercial banking, and/or consulting or corporate positions with a financial or accounting focus.
• Some prior restructuring experience is preferred
• Mastery of financial modeling in the preparation of financial and operational analyses to aid clients and other stakeholders in opportunity identification, opportunity prioritization, and implementation planning
• Advance written communication skills, able to prepare well laid out, easily understood analyses and presentations
• Apply problem-solving skills in complex situations and effectively communicate with team members and clients
• Able to work independently; high energy style, flexible and adaptive, works well in a very fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel
  

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business Major) and/or MBA from a top academic institution and a strong GPA required
• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), or Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) or demonstrated progress toward such certifications preferred

• 13-week cash flow model creation (REQUIRED)
• Integrated 3-statement models (REQUIRED)
• 12-month operating plan/pro forma financial statements
• Break-even analysis
• Liquidation analysis
• Product-line, channel, customer, business unit profitability analysis
• Inventory turnover analysis
• Pricing analysis
