Pay Range: $44 - $54/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Working both independently and collaboratively to support cutting-edge Oncology drug discovery biology programs.
- Develop and execute mechanistic in vitro cellular assays to characterize mechanism of action of Client compounds.
- Cell culture maintenance, cryopreservation, validation, and inventory management.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of protocols and experimental results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other team members to advance programs.
- Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data in team meetings.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular/Cell Biology, biochemistry or a related discipline, with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture including expertise in aseptic technique, culture optimization, cell counting, cryopreservation, and validation methods.
- Experience in managing or supporting cell banking, and familiarity with databases such as Mosaic, would be a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and a range of biology skill sets including in vitro cell assay development, plate-based assays, Western blotting, protein quantification, ELISA, MSD, transfections, lentiviral transductions, siRNA/shRNA/CRISPR, qPCR, and viability assays.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional collaborative team.
- Strong proficiency in workload planning, prioritization, organization, time management, meticulous attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
- Experience utilizing electronic notebooks is preferred, and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, eager to develop new skills, and possesses a positive attitude.
