We are currently seeking Associate Research Analysts for our Center for Data Management and Analytics within our Institute for Public Research. Our team at our Company is dedicated to providing real-time data analysis to support aviation operations at the FAA's Air Traffic Control System Command Center.
Primary Purpose
As an Aviation Operational Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting government clients to enable data-driven operations of our national airspace system. You'll be part of an innovative, customer-focused team dedicated to making a positive impact in support of the public good.
Job Description
Conduct research and analysis to address focused, structured questions using standard analytic methodologies.
Develop institutional knowledge of primary clients/sponsors and contribute harmoniously to team efforts.
Support business development and marketing activities under the guidance of experienced staff.
Demonstrate basic communication skills and effectively present work to colleagues and managers.
Exhibit a positive attitude and serve as an effective member of project teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Minimum Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience: Master's degree with 0+ years of experience in research and analysis.
Skills
Ability to construct effective briefings using MS PowerPoint and intermediate to advanced skills with MS Word and Excel.
Proficiency in programming (R or Python), statistics, SQL, data visualization, and other data analysis fundamentals.
Strong communication, customer relations, and organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of research techniques.
Desired Qualifications
Enthusiasm for supporting data-driven decision-making in the public interest.
Flexibility to support real-time on-site shift-based operations.
Aviation Experience Preferred But Not Required.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance.
