Small Enterprise Associate Project Manager

Position Description:

The NDBS Small Enterprise Associate Project Manager provides project management support for successful project delivery and customer satisfaction to consulting clients under the supervision of the Program and Project Management Leadership.

The Associate Project Manager:

• Supports the Project Leadership in the delivery of client SAP implementation projects
• Develops and maintains project plan and timeline, issues, assignments, documentation, and other project communications
• Prepares weekly project status reports
• Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget
• Reviews project status with project personnel and supports the project leadership in modifying the schedule and plan as required
• Monitors project results against project scope
• Supports the development and status monitoring and updates of project workstream planning as needed. Examples include data cycles, development lifecycle, testing activities, security, training, and organizational change management activities, as well as cutover and hypercare
• Maintains and updates the project budget tracker

1. Project Deliverables Management and Project Reporting:

• Understand and clearly articulate the Activate plus methodology
• Monitor, track, update, and correct discrepancies in worklists that support project workstreams by managing resources, dates and tasks associated with the project plan. Communicate updates in appropriate communication channels
• Support project planning, monitoring, and adjustments to include soliciting inputs from project stakeholders, documenting dependencies, updating work effort estimates and resources required
• Effectively share the project plan and associated updates
• Prepare weekly and other periodic project status reporting according to the specific processes documented for the project
• Manage and monitor overall queue of work to ensure active collaboration with stakeholders and ensure communication on status
• Support workstream planning and coordination
• Support SOW compliance and change orders
• Manage overall queue of work and effectively use the supporting tools and implementation methodology
• Provide backlog and forecast to project leadership
• Track project deliverables and milestones against plan, document and secure sign-off from appropriate stakeholder including client or project team members

2. Resource Relationship and Customer Satisfaction

• Establish and maintain credibility with clients as a trusted project resource
• Participate in and lead project meetings and huddles with the project team and project stakeholders
• As warranted, establish professional relationships with client decision-makers, know their business, their industry, their culture, and their top priorities
• Support the team environment with a customer focus
• Respond timely and appropriately to stakeholder inquiries and requests

3. Team Support

• Reinforce PMO processes, implementation methodology, and disciplined use of tools/templates with consultants and as appropriate other project stakeholders
• Proactively contribute to the use of the project implementation methodology
• Support the Project Leadership in creating an environment of customer focus within the team
• Have a growth mindset for the team and the NDBS organization by supporting and providing inputs to improvement opportunities, learning events, and other value-added contributions.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 plus years of SAP product experience with implementations, customer engagement, internal initiatives, or in another related SAP consulting capacity
• Strong professional skills including communication and relationship building
• Ability to prepare, support, and deliver client workshops
• Travel to client sites as and when needed in the US up to 25% of the time.
• Strong project administration skills

Preferred Requirement:

• Desire and/or active pursuit of Project Management training and certification
• Experience in a breadth of project workstreams and varied industries is a plus
• Knowledge of S/4 Hana Public Cloud or certification in this product is a distinct advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of S/4 Hana on premise is ideally needed but we will consider SAP ECC or BYD (Business by Design) Project Managers with the right level of experience
• Experience working in/with mid-market sized organizations is a distinct advantage.

The annual base compensation range for this role will be $78,546 - $137,723.. The exact compensation at which this job is filled will be determined by a number of factors including but not limited to organizational needs and the qualified candidate’s skill set, certifications, and experience.
