Full Job Description

We are seeking accomplished candidates who will contribute to classroom and clinical teaching, as well as service to enhance the university and profession or community.

Responsibilities

Engage in classroom and clinical teaching, fostering a dynamic learning environment.

Develop and implement syllabi, select educational resources, and design assessments to evaluate student learning.

Hold regular office hours and provide support to students through in-person meetings, email, or videoconference.

For clinical teaching, supervise and mentor students in off-campus healthcare settings, guiding them in delivering patient care within defined practice scopes.

Facilitate pre-briefing, mid-shift huddles, and post-conference debriefings to enhance learning outcomes.

Review and assess student performance on patient data sheets and care plans.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree in nursing or related field preferred.

Minimum of one year of full-time direct patient care experience within the last five years required; experience in pediatrics, maternal-child health, reproductive health, or health informatics preferred.

Registered nurse licensure in California upon hire.

Strong commitment to teaching and scholarship, demonstrated experience in diverse environments, and alignment with the university's mission.
