The University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Associate Professor (tenured track) or Professor of Law (tenured).

Qualifications for the positions include a J.D. or equivalent degree, LLM , and/or S.J.D., a strong academic record, proven teaching distinction , and proven scholarly merit.

The Committee will look for someone who can teach in two of the MLS subject matter areas, which are as follows(listed in alphabetical order): (1) Business and IP in the Modern Economy; (2) Contracts in the Modern Economy; (3) Conflict and Legal Crisis Management; (4) Criminal Law for MLS Students; (5) Family Law; (6) Government, Private Property, and Land Use; (7) Labor and Employment; (8) Legal Ethics in the Provision and Management of Legal Services; (9) Legal Research and Writing for Non-Lawyers; (10) The Regulatory System; and (11) Understanding Cases, Statutes, and Legislation.

The College of Law seeks candidates with teaching interests related to our Master of Legal Studies degree, as the successful candidate will be required toprimarily teach in the Master of Legal Studies program. Instruction in the MLS Program requires teaching every other Friday and Saturday during the academic year.
