This position will produce social, promotional, and segment content as assigned for broadcast, streaming, and social media platform use. Primary responsibility will be to assist the Senior Producer and team in the development of content that aligns with the ministry goals, brand voice, and creative vision for the Better Together series. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the creation of online content (optimized per platform) and on-air promotional content (as assigned). This position will also work closely with the Better Together Social Media Strategist with a heavy emphasis on repurposing our broadcast content for use on social media platforms and keeping our web presence up to date.
Duties
Assist the Senior Producer in the development of short-form content—social content, promotional content, and guest segments
Participate in program content development meetings
Oversee post-production for social content and promotional segments
Update our website, BetterTogether.tv, with latest episodes, guest bios, and other content as assigned
Assist team during production—lock down, runner for guest needs, etc.
Create content outlines, write scripts, and interview guests as needed
Assist team during post-production—reviewing program content, logging footage, and adding metadata
Ensure all assignments are completed on schedule
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience
At least 2 years of relevant production experience, social, short-form TV (news/reality/talk/documentary), and/or promotional content development experience is preferred
At least 2 years of online & on-air promotional experience; includes writing, selecting visual elements, and editing compelling content to draw new audiences
Passion for creating content for our target audience (Christian women) and optimizing content for social media engagement
Demonstrated ability to adapt to brand voice and ministry style
Must be comfortable on set and in the field while working with diverse on-air personalities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to write clear, concise, compelling copy
Ability to proofread and make corrections in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style
Expert attention to detail and ability to complete jobs under deadline pressure
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and balance multiple assignments
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Mac office environment - expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint, Dropbox, and Google Docs preferred
Minimum of Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field of study or equivalent experience is preferred
