Associate Principal (Qualitative Market Research)

Job Overview

As an Associate Principal in the primary market research team based in the United States, you will join a dynamic, collaborative, entrepreneurial team responsible for delivering actionable insights to steer data-informed decisions and help to build business globally. Embracing established methodologies and emerging technologies like AI, to uncover and ultimately reveal insights that help life sciences companies improve outcomes on a global scale.


Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, manage, and execute successful qualitative pharmaceutical market research projects.
  • Develop new products, approaches, processes, and methodologies to create and sustain competitive advantage. Provide visioning for thought leadership, POV's white papers, marketing collateral, and high-impact offerings.
  • Drive business development activities by identifying new clients and working with existing clients to leverage expertise in primary market research with a specific focus on qualitative methodologies.
  • Develop strong and trusted relationships with clients and actively participate in capabilities presentations, sales pitches, and the development of impactful and actionable research designs for proposals.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for project execution and delivery of end-to-end client engagements either directly or through team management.
  • Build, lead, and coach high-performing project teams in the delivery of cross-functional projects across multiple areas of expertise, including converting derived insight into strategic guidance and developing this skill among direct reports.


Required Skills & Experience

  • PhD or master's degree in business administration statistics/data sciences, social sciences or psychometrics, or a closely related field.
  • Diverse research experience and acumen in qualitative research design.
  • 10+ years of experience in primary market research within the commercial life sciences industry.
  • Proven track record of success in both client-side and agency-side pharmaceutical market research roles, bringing a comprehensive perspective to market research projects.
  • Building and leading high-performing cross-functional teams.
