IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an experienced, passionate educator to join our team as an Associate Language Arts Curriculum Designer and help shape our exceptional K–12 language arts content.
As an Associate Language Arts Curriculum Designer at IXL, you'll help design engaging questions and collaborate with curriculum designers, visual designers, and our team of writers and editors to achieve our educational goals. Your strong writing skills, creative problem solving, project management skills, and commitment to quality will make personalized learning a reality for millions of students.
This is a full-time entry-level Associate Language Arts Curriculum Designer position in our Raleigh, NC area office to help support our curriculum design team. We encourage new college graduates to apply, including the class of 2024.

What You'll Be Doing
- Write clear, engaging K-12 language arts problems and explanations for IXL.com
- Edit user-facing content and collaborate with our team of writers, editors, and illustrators to ensure content is fun, accurate, and age-appropriate
- Test user-facing content to ensure it is functioning as intended
- Research and review IXL's alignment to educational standards, common assessments, and popular textbooks or lesson plans
- Update IXL's language arts content for use in other English-speaking locales
- Write alt text for visually-impaired learners
- As needed, develop print and digital content across IXL Learning's family of brands
- Bachelor's in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
- Some English teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience is preferred
- Previous professional writing or editing experience is a plus
- Outstanding written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a wide range of age groups
- Ability to think strategically and creatively solve problems
- Can-do attitude with an openness to others' ideas
- Highly self-motivated and efficient with superb attention to detail

- Which grade-level band are you most comfortable designing for: PreK-5 or 6-12? Please explain why.
- Describe a challenge associated with creating online English Language Arts content for learners, along with a potential solution.
