Associate, Institutional Equity Division

Morgan Stanley & Co., LLC seeks an Associate, Institutional Equity Division in New York, New York

Provide specialized investment advice on companies to a wide range of institutional investors. Formulate investment opinions, disseminate equity research, understand and analyze global financial markets. Assist in onboarding clients in subsectors. Develop Institutional and Buy Side relationships. Facilitate and attend company and analyst marketing meetings, conferences, conference calls, industry events and other business gatherings with institutional investors and corporate management teams.

Salary

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000.00 and $200,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s in Economics, Finance or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Investment Analyst, or related occupation.

Requires any amount of experience with: Bloomberg; FactSet; Excel; PowerPoint; Dealogic; Alpha Capture systems; dissemination of financial models; presenting of firm equity research to institutional investors; understanding of macroeconomics; derivatives; interest rates and their impact on equities; and distribution of capital markets deals. Requires FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Exam; FINRA Series 7 General Securities Representative Exam; and FINRA Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam.
