Associate Food Scientist

Parallel Employment is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Food Scientist. As an Associate Food Scientist, you will work closely with our Applications Manager to develop new formulations and showcase ingredients in support of our sales divisions, customers, brokers, and distributors. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry and contribute to the success of Parallel Employment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop technical expertise and leadership to support internal and external customers
• Learn about Parallel Employment's products, standard demos, and Applications Directory
• Complete assignments within specified deadlines and communicate results effectively
• Perform daily bench top duties and document and record project results
• Participate in tastings and provide detailed findings
• Create accurate batch sheets for review
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Assist in presentations, open houses, and training seminars
• Travel domestically with Applications team members as needed
  
  

Qualifications:

• Degree in food science or related field of study
• Technical experience in the Applications industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced degree
• Experience with enzyme-modification
