Associate Advisor |

Our client, an award winning wealth management and planning practice based in New York, is hiring an Associate Advisor to work closely with the Practice Owner.


The Associate Advisor will be responsible for continuing to deliver a first class, planning experience to existing clients, while also attracting prospective clients to the practice.


The ideal candidate should have experience as a client facing financial advisor, business development and a passion for the planning process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Associate Advisor will be responsible for setting up review meetings with existing clients of the firm.


  • The Associate Advisor will also be responsible for networking and prospecting to attract new clients to the practice.


  • The Associate Advisor will work with clients on their investments, insurance, advanced planning and other financial needs in a holistic fashion. For certain client profiles, this will be conducted through discovery meetings, plan presentations and review meetings to ensure the client’s goals and recommendations remain aligned.

  • The Associate Advisor will work closely with the Practice Owner/Senior Advisor to understand the planning philosophy and the client experience. This includes being present in client meetings with the Senior Advisor to learn, take notes and to quarterback the follow up process.


  • The Associate Advisor will eventually work with an existing client segment to be the relationship manager. This would involve updating plans and recommendations, identify new planning opportunities and get referred to other clients from within the existing book.


  • The advisor will collaborate with the planning, service and operations team on analysis, recommendations, tracking and service items. This support will allow the advisor to spend time on client facing and prospecting activities.


Other Responsibilities, but not limited to:


Ensure all client data remains confidential and updated in the CRM system.

Create marketing or prospecting lists for new business development

Triage client questions and service items



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of client facing, financial planning experience
  • LAH insurance license
  • Series 7 and 66


$60,000- $90,000 Base depending on credentials and experience.
