Job Description:

As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in building services systems to contribute to innovative projects in the US and globally. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, and we offer unparalleled career development and project opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and other engineers or design team members as part of a dedicated team.
  • Produce detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, site observation reports, schedules, etc., for various projects within the electrical discipline.
  • Coordinate with utility companies and obtain necessary electrical permit approvals.
  • Organize technical and financial proposals for new projects.
  • Manage the workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians, ensuring quality verification.
  • Take responsibility for conceptual and preliminary engineering solutions for detailed design.
  • Prepare Technical Specifications.
  • Monitor the financial performance of projects.
  • Keep senior staff informed of significant service/design decisions to ensure client objectives are met.
  • Mentor junior Electrical Engineers.
  • Ensure practices, policies, strategy, and services align with the client’s best interests and comply with current legislation and building codes.
  • Plan, organize, and manage personal workload to meet deadlines in line with client commitments.
  • Proactively address concerns about workload and deadlines.
  • Maintain an overview of the project team’s workload and commitments to successfully meet deadlines and balance resources.
  • Actively contribute to delivering profitable projects by managing project finances, including planning and monitoring job resourcing/expenditure.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design within the building services and construction industry.
  • Preferred experience in sectors such as Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and/or Stadiums.
  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license desirable.
  • LEED AP accreditation preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Revit.
  • Familiarity with computational analysis tools such as electrical fault analysis and lighting design software.
  • Ability to take on a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization and work independently.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems, with the ability to identify and solve technical problems.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills (verbal and written), with experience presenting solutions directly to 'c-suite' level stakeholders.
  • Experience in preparing technical reports for direct delivery to clients.
  • Ability to problem-solve and propose multiple solutions to clients, objectively summarizing the benefits and shortfalls of each.
