We have an opening for an Associate Director, Risk Management & Insurance in Raytheon Technologies (RTX) Treasury department in the area of Risk Management & Insurance. This is not an executive level role. This role can be Hybrid based in either Boston Area or NYC area or full remote based on the eastern seaboard and is responsible for partnering with RTX business segments to provide technical support and guidance on all matters related to risk management and insurance. This position reports directly to the Director of Risk Management & Insurance for RTX Corporate Finance. Selected candidate will be required to work business hours that align with Eastern U.S. time.



JOB DESCRIPTION

What you will do:

  • Partner with Raytheon Company/Business Segment (RTX business segments to provide technical support and guidance on all matters related to risk management and insurance.
  • Oversight and management of all US and international insurance programs for RTX including: Property/Asset Protection; Marine Cargo/Transit, Workers Compensation/Employers Liability; Defense Base Act; Claims Coordination, Aviation, Auto liability, and General Liability
  • Identification of insurance risks associated with the defense segment
  • Support the following:
  • Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures
  • Cost Forecasting
  • Risk Finance
  • Partner with brokers, insurers and Third-Party Adjusters Administrators of the corporation to ensure quality of risk management services to Raytheon.
  • Administer all aspects of the Defense Base Act policy pursuant to the corporate standard.
  • Provide insurance claim reporting, contract review technical guidance and training to the RTX departments including Finance, Enterprise Services, Engineering, Contracts Legal, EH&S, Operations and Supply Chain Management Departments.
  • Interact with business leaders on all major construction projects and site expansions.
  • Take part in RTX Learning and Development initiatives including RTX CORE and annual ethics courses.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the business on all aspects of Risk Management and Insurance
  • Provide periodic updates on all relevant Risk Management issues to the RTX leadership teams.
  • Support functional process improvements within Risk Management including leading topical discussions for the group.
  • Other duties as necessary to put in place a leading global Risk Management program for RTX
  • Review insurance renewal data.


Qualifications you must have

  • A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and at least 12 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 10 years’ experience gained in a large corporate Risk Management setting
  • Good interpersonal skills, including ability and desire to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with others throughout RTX Finance organizations, at RTXHQ and Business Units.
  • 10 years of Risk Management experience in a large multi-national corporate environment
  • 10 years of experience in multi-line property and casualty insurance portfolio
  • 5 plus years of experience and/or knowledge of the defense contracting environment


Education Experience Skills and Certifications

  • This role typically requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and at least 12 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 10 years’ experience gained in a large corporate Risk Management setting

Work Authorization Status:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools/sites that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Work Location:

  • Hybrid based in Boston, NYC or Remote based in the Continental US with ability to work East Coast business hours

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
