Associate Director - Placement, Position Summary

The Associate Director is a key player in the success of EIM’s University Partner (UP) business. EIM has established nationwide partnerships for collaborative clinical education experiences across multiple healthcare professions. The ideal candidate will help foster “lifelong learners” through our cutting-edge clinical education operations. The Associate Director of Clinical Placement will be responsible for leading a team of Placement Managers who are responsible for on-time placement in a variety of clinical experiences. The Associate Director will ensure that all partner and internal stakeholders are aware of the status and progress of the prospective student placement pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in clinical placement management, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to the following)

  • Recruit, coach and develop placement managers to drive optimal placement results while promoting resilience to change, solution-oriented thinking and accountability
  • Provide direction and oversight to UP Clinical Education placement managers including workforce management, KPI’s, metrics and partner relations
  • Review and evaluate the clinical placement goals and outcomes for each UP in purview, promoting on time placement rates
  • Ensure timely audits and reporting from placement managers and their direct reports
  • Effectively communicate pacing and partner escalations to the Director of Clinical Operations
  • Monitor, audit and provide feedback on processes and systems that ensure consistent UP student placement experience and contract management, with adherence to established timelines
  • Work with placement leaders to perform and share quantitative analysis throughout the clinical placements process to aid in strategic planning
  • Work with Clinical Education Operations Manager to ensure systems and processes are efficient in maintaining accurate records within departmental technology platforms and systems for all clinical site contracts and data
  • Oversee and approve monthly clinical education partner presentations ensuring delivery of results and reporting insights.
  • Identify potential issues in operations, systems and cross-functional communications
  • Assist in writing policies and procedures related to clinical placement, data management and student tracking/outcomes
  • Oversee weekly/monthly placement reporting for Senior Leadership team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with university faculty and leadership
  • Support coordination and hosting of partner onboarding sessions inclusive of strategic planning for clinical education timeline building
  • Collaborate with admissions leaders to ensure seamless handoff of student support from the admissions team to the clinical education team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in admissions management
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5+ years of experience in relevant field

  • Demonstrated successful leadership in people operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a diversified work environment with varying levels of ambiguity
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects, establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and key external relationships
  • Track record of working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously

Preferred:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in the Higher Education, Sales and/or Healthcare industry strongly preferred
  • 3 years’ experience directly managing employees, with a focus on professional development
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
  • Experience using Salesforce, Student Information Systems or similar platforms
