What You Can Expect

The Associate Director, Medical Education who focuses on Early Career Surgeon Education, spearheads the development and execution of this critical program. This includes driving strategy that encompasses identifying and engaging appropriate faculty, developing learning pathways and curricula, coordinating and executing events, and continuous monitoring for ongoing improvement.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Collaborate with Director, Medical Affairs to develop the early career education strategy for surgeons at different career stages with varying educational needs
  • Partner with Medical Education, business leadership, surgeon faculty, and other cross-functional teams to align on curriculum and build content
  • Develop comprehensive learning pathways, incorporating multiple modalities and technologies that address enterprise goals and meet learner objectives
  • Partner with Digital Learning Team and external partners to develop and execute extensive library of educational content catered to learner audience
  • Mobilize the Early Career Surgeon Education team that drives the planning and execution of the program
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key partners- program directors, academic institutions, and professional societies to enhance our educational initiatives
  • Evaluate effectiveness of program design, planning process, and technical execution to drive continual improvement through qualitative and quantitative methods. Make necessary changes in strategy and/or execution to address
  • Analyze program needs on an ongoing and annual basis and make recommendations
  • Own the brand strategy for the program to raise awareness, generate excitement, and garner buy-in
  • Build and maintain database of key institutions and faculty
  • Develop dashboards to socialize program activity and impact with internal stakeholders
  • Manage budget and resources to support the program
  • Develop professional templates and materials to drive consistency in quality and professionalism to internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements and best practices in medical education, using innovation and creativity to compliantly enhance programs
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines governing medical education

  • Proven track record of effective process management and improvement.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and prioritize solutions.
  • Demonstrated history of taking initiative, meeting commitments and creating new tools or solutions to achieve business results.
  • High level of energy, personal accountability and integrity.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, related HR software.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 7 years of experience in the medical device orthopedic industry or related experience or a commensurate combination of education and experience required.
  • Leading people and teams in strategic programs and projects

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 50%

Expected Comp Range: Approx $160k-$180k + Bonus
