Step into a pivotal role at Sol de Janeiro as the Associate Director, Global Product Marketing - Body Care, with a special focus on SPF products. Here, you will lead the charge in shaping the future of sun care, blending innovative marketing strategies with product excellence to deliver standout results. This is your opportunity to steer game-changing projects from conception through to commercialization, crafting consumer-first, scalable, and globally relevant go-to-market strategies.

The position will report to the Executive Director, Global Product Marketing, Body Care + Hair and has 1 direct report.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically manage and continually refine the 3-year rolling product launch calendar, focusing on our SPF subcategory to deliver breakthrough innovations and compelling promotions.
  • Deliver innovation concepts that drive breakout growth based on gap analysis, performance reporting and consumer-focused data from internal and external sources (CMI reports, regional and retailer consumer reports, "In the Kitchen" sessions with retailers).
  • Working with Executive Director to manage cost and margin targets to meet financial objectives of the brand and category, assisting in setting COG & margin targets by category and adjusting MOB targets to reach gross margin targets.
  • Champion sustainability within the product development process, ensuring all products meet the highest environmental standards without compromising on quality.
  • Conduct rigorous analysis of category performance and make strategic recommendations to optimize the product portfolio.
  • Develop comprehensive product marketing strategies that define and communicate the unique benefits and claims of our SPF products, ensuring they resonate with a global audience.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Global Consumer Engagement, Product Development, and Regulatory to ensure successful product launches and consistent market performance.
  • Monitor and adapt marketing strategies based on consumer feedback and market trends to maintain competitive advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, MBA is preferred
  • 6+ years of current experience in global marketing in the beauty sector
  • 3+ year of experience in the Skincare and/or Body Care category; OTC experience is preferred
  • Potent blend of strategic, creative, and analytic skills
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail & organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a trend-hunting mindset
  • Positive attitude
  • Experience managing & developing direct report(s)



Salary Range

$130,000—$145,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
