Associate Director, Campaign Operations and Planning - Office of Advancement

Georgetown is in the public phase of the university’s most ambitious fundraising campaign to date - Called to Be - which has a $3 billion goal and the ambition to receive roughly half of those donations from Principal & Transformative donors. The Office of Advancement (OA) exists to support the mission and strategic ambitions of Georgetown University with an engagement-driven approach to fundraising. The Campaign Operations & Planning team acts as a primary project manager within Georgetown University’s Office of Advancement (OA) to drive the planning and execution of campaign-related work, and sits within the Campaign Management and Donor Experience (CMDX) team. The Associate Director will work closely with partners across OA and the University to assist in maintaining day-to-day operations related to Georgetown’s $3B Called to Be campaign with a focus on ensuring internal coordination and collaboration. They will assist the Senior Director, Campaign Operations & Planning in management of University Strategic Initiative (USI) working groups, internal campaign education programming, and facilitate work related to campaign close activities, maintaining a running progress report, and supporting any related future planning work. This position will work in partnership with the Sr. Director and colleagues across OA to monitor and track progress of campaign priorities, ensuring campaign planning and execution remains on schedule. While not a technical position, the individual in this role should have a data driven mind-set with the ability to enhance our work through the university’s Salesforce CRM – GU360.

Work Interactions

The Associate Director will report to the Senior Director, Campaign Planning & Operations. Regular interactions and collaborators will include, but are not limited to, members of the following OA teams: DATA, Stewardship, Donor Engagement, Development, Strategic Initiatives, P&T Operations, Events, Presidential Engagement, Board Management, and the VP of OA. While primarily an OA- internal facing role, this position will also interface with University leadership and faculty on a regular basis. The day-to-day responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to, managing cross-team stakeholder meetings, including setting agendas, collecting material, facilitating discussions and tracking pertinent next steps.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in higher education or non-profit setting
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • A self-starter with an ability to differentiate and prioritize work
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • An ability to work with a diverse range of constituents both internal and external to the University, including
  • volunteers and donors
  • Willingness to travel, if needed, to support campaign engagement event activities
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and capacity to juggle multiple priorities at once
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in CRMs/Salesforce preferred

Pay Range

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$66,783.00 - $126,720.23

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
