The Associate Buyer, Men’s Textiles & Underwear will give input for all buying and merchandising decisions in their assigned areas of responsibility, including the development of merchandise assortments, sales, and inventory plans for each department, as well as monitoring inventory levels to ensure that there are enough items in stock to fulfill customer orders.

Our ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience in a buying/merchandising role, (preferably in RTW or Leather Goods), and has the ability to work confidently in a cross-functional environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Complete assortment buy and wholesale presentation for areas of responsibility during OTB.
Monitor competitive landscape to identify product opportunities.
Manage all aspect of their department’s OTB (sales, markdowns, receipts, etc.)
Analyze sales reporting on a weekly basis, proactively reacting to optimize sales and minimize risk
Determine assortment needs for each market/account and make recommendations based on specific business trends.
Partner with Global Merchandising to develop strong product assortments based on market needs.
Work cross functionally with planning, marketing, visual merchandising and ecommerce to ensure a best in class customer experience.
Prepare detailed weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales analyses based on historical data, current trends and future market forecasts.
Support wholesale team for any product inquiries or selling tools assistance.
Partner with Buyer on reviewing sales and inventory targets by door and classification plans to meet financial goals.
Remain informed of fashion/trends and apply knowledge to assortment and promotional plans.
Make pricing and promotional recommendations to maximize sales and turn while meeting margin targets.
Manage pricing updates in the system and communication flow to stores.
Participate in weekly sales review meetings.
Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Buying/Merchandising degree a plus, but will consider the equivalence of working experience
Minimum of 2/3 years’ experience in buying/merchandising; strongly prefer a candidate who has experience in RTW
Demonstrated understanding of the Men’s RTW market within premium casualwear brand
Strong retail math, oral and communications skills
Must possess a proven track record of analytical skills and its practical application in the field
Ability to travel internationally : travel not required at this time, but may occur in the future
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, particularly using Pivot Tables and excel formulas.
Must be able to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
