Krispy Kreme’s Associate Brand Manager, Equity will be a key contributor to Krispy Kreme’s core (equity) business, reporting to the Sr. Brand Manager, Delivered Fresh Daily and Equity. The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for partnering with leadership to develop and execute brand strategies that drive growth for the business, specifically providing strategy and oversight in the areas of Customer Marketing, Fundraising, Local Shop Marketing (including New Store Openings), and Gift Cards. In addition to supporting overall team initiatives, the Associate Brand Manager will lead the cross-functional team in developing, planning, and executing all activities in his or her specific business areas. We’re looking for a highly collaborative marketing athlete who is simultaneously comfortable leading teams and rolling up their sleeves when needed to bring solutions to market.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Customer Marketing:

  • Serve as Krispy Kreme marketing lead for specified retailer DMAs / business units, ensuring effective and efficient translation of marketing strategies into activation plans while stewarding a consistent expression of the brand in all consumer touchpoints.
  • Support creation and execution of annual customer marketing calendar, inclusive of promotional activations, shopper marketing, and retailer-led initiatives.
  • Partner with strategic customer to create consistent brand experiences for their consumers through effective creation and management of strategic co-marketing plans, advertising, marketing assets, digital marketing, online content, and POS executions.

Fundraising:

  • Lead development and execution of the annual and long-term strategy and planning for the business including development of core and promotional product assortment, marketing assets, and overall activation calendar.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the consumer, category, competition, and trends, transforming into insights and opportunities to grow the business, strengthen brand equity, and extend the gap vs. key competitors.
  • Own and manage relationship with key 3rd party vendors and partners to drive results and deliver against business goals.

Local Shop Marketing:

  • Support critical local marketing initiatives, including (but not limited to) new market entries, new shop openings, and other critical geographic areas.
  • Identify and translate insights for strategic markets into recommendations for business initiatives and/or actionable tasks to drive results and deliver against business goals.
  • Develop strategic KPIs and corresponding tactics consistent with the brand positioning and consumer target.

Gift Cards:

  • Serve as the overall business owner, working cross functionally with internal partners in IT/Engineering, Operations, Media Planning, Creative, Finance & Accounting, and Consumer Insights, as well as various external vendors, to achieve milestones and deliver business outcomes.
  • Create and execute the gift card annual operating plans, including objectives, KPIs, consumer offerings, capability expansions, marketing plans, etc.
  • Deliver on innovative and performance-driven marketing campaigns that align to key priorities/initiatives and result in meaningful brand impact.

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

  • A love for doughnuts & sweet treats!
  • Four-year College / University degree, MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant marketing, advertising, brand management experience is required
  • Highly developed analytical and strategic thinking skills combined with communication and presentation skills that can be leveraged with a wide breadth of audiences including senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience in successful project management, including experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience working across functions including operations, R&D, Procurement, Finance, etc.
  • Strong decision-making background in ambiguous environments with a bias for action
  • Highly collaborative with a demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams; proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous P&L exposure preferred; Demonstrated ability to be accountable for sales, income, and profit results.
